screwed up connection to iPad from MacBook Pro

When my mom connected her iPad 2 to my Late '11 MacBook Pro, she accidentally clicked the button that bars her iPad from syncing to my computer (should've given my computer permission to access the iPad). Is there a way to restore this so that, if needed, the iPad can be synced to my computer?

EDIT: I just discovered a message on my computer asking me if I wanted to allow syncing to Mom's iPad. I connected the iPad, hit yes (or whatever it said), and PROBLEM SOLVED. Yay! Now to delete this thread... Hmm...
